Program Of Study

Those wishing to gain or update Responsible Service of Alcohol to work in the Hospitality sector. This unit describes the performance outcomes, skills and knowledge required to responsibly sell, serve or supply alcohol. Responsible practices must be undertaken wherever alcohol is sold, served or supplied, including where alcohol samples are served during on-site product tastings. This unit therefore applies to any workplace where alcohol is sold, served or supplied, including all types of hospitality venues, packaged liquor outlets and wineries, breweries and distilleries.

Entry Requirements

Must be over 18 years of age

Outcome

Those successfully completing all requirements will be awarded Statement of Attainment for this unit.

Day 1 :

7 hrs – Theory and face to face training( including breaks)

Day 2 :

7 hrs – Practice session and practical assessment( including breaks)

Delivery and Assessment Arrangements

The course will be conducted face to face in the classroom with no more than twelve (12) participants. The course consists of PowerPoint and video presentations, theory and practical aspects of assessment, practical RSA assessment in a simulated environment.
