Qualification Description

This qualification provides a general vocational outcome in amenity horticulture. Certificate III in Horticulture includes classroom and practical training and assessment to develop skills and knowledge in crop/plant selection, cultivation, management of soil, irrigation, fertilizers, weeds, control of pests and disease, handling of chemical and work health and safety procedures ( WHS). No occupational licensing, legislative or certificate requirements apply to this qualification at the time or publication.

Assessment Methods
Assessment methods may include but are not limited to: observation/demonstration of practical skill, case studies, written reports, presentations, written/oral tests, questions and answers, work samples
Entry Requirements
Age : applicants must be 18 years or older at the time of the course commencement
Academic: Applicants must have completed Australian year 12 or equivalent overseas qualifications
English Proficiency: Overseas applicants are required to demonstration English language proficiency by of the following options
Certificate of completion from an Australian Senior Secondary School.
Certificate of completion from an Australian Qualification at a Certificate III Level or above, within the last 2 ( Two) year prior to the application.
Have completed at least 5 Years of study in English medium in one or more of the following countries – Australia, UK, USA, Canada, New Zealand, South Africa, or the Republic of Ireland. Upper – Intermediate level certificate from an Australian ELICOS provider.
